PRE-CONSTRUCTION SERVICES

YN Construction works with the client and the design team in the early phase of drawings, to provide value engineering and suggestions for site establishment, constructability, budget and scheduling.  Within our pre-construction services, we act as a value-added member of the design team, enhancing the design segment of the job by providing accurate pricing information and marrying the budget to the actual design.

By incorporating items such as sustainability and maintenance costs into our design review, our suggestions can often save the client money well into the future.  Our pre-construction team works to reduce the overall project cost by saving time, labour and expenses.  The result is a project designed to the client’s specification, within budget and with no surprise factors.

 

GENERAL CONSTRUCTION SERVICES

YN Construction provides in-depth management and supervision of all its projects, with hands-on involvement by the company’s principals and project supervisors from start to finish.  During actual construction, we manage the day to day activities on site, including safety, quality control and adherence to schedule.  Our unique ability to self-perform the majority of aspects related to the project enables us to maintain complete control over the quality and schedule of the works, allowing us to truly drive any project.  The scope of works typically undertaken during a project includes but is not restricted to the following:

  • Site clearance and demolition
  • Bulk and restricted earthworks
  • Structural reinforced concrete works
  • Instillation of services (i.e. electrical, mechanical, pipelines et cetera)
  • General building works

All of the abovementioned construction activities are performed in-house, with little or no reliance on subcontractors.

 

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

In addition to the construction activities listed above, YN Construction often assumes the role of principal contractor.  During the construction phase, our full time supervision is on site monitoring the work of our employees and that of selected subcontractors to assure compliance with specifications, budget and schedule.  Our management team act as a liaison between the client and the various disciplines involved in the project, and provide the client with ongoing information about the status of the project.  The client therefore benefits from one informed and skilled point of contact.
