Overview

YN Construction, established in 2001, is a privately owned Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) South African company specialising in building and construction, as well as civil engineering projects for the industrial, governmental and commercial building sectors.  Since inception, the company has quickly grown in stature undertaking projects throughout South Africa and the Southern African region, forming invaluable ties with many respected clients and consulting engineers.

The Directors anticipated that Black Economic Empowerment and compliance with the Employment Equity Act would yet be another opportunity towards the strategic growth of the company through the added investment in its people.  As a result, YN Construction has recently been accredited as a level 3 contributor by independent auditors and in compliance with the Construction (Contractor) Sector Code on Black Economic Empowerment and in accordance with Section 9 of the B-BBEE Act 53 of 2003.

Since its founding, YN Construction has experienced sustained and steady growth, with today’s annual billing volume reaching over R50 million and a permanent workforce of over 80 employees in three offices: Germsiton in Gauteng, Ballito in KwaZulu-Natal and Cape Town in the Western Cape.  This depth of experience in the construction industry has subsequently been enhanced by the expertise of the firm’s project managers and supervisors, many of whom have been involved in major construction projects for more than 20 years.
